Premium Processing Fees Increase March 1, 2026

TITLE: Premium Processing Fees Increase March 1, 2026

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Homeland Security is raising USCIS premium processing fees. The increase matches inflation from June 2023 to June 2025. The new fees start on March 1, 2026.

WHO IT AFFECTS: Anyone who files certain USCIS forms and chooses premium processing — a service that gives a faster decision for an extra charge.

WHAT TO DO NOW:

- Check the exact new fee on the USCIS website before you file. The rule does not list the dollar amount here.

- If you want to pay the current (lower) fee, USCIS must receive your properly completed premium processing request before March 1, 2026.

- Starting March 1, 2026, send the correct, higher fee with your application. Using the wrong fee after that date may cause USCIS to return your filing.
