TITLE: U.S. Arrival Restrictions for Travelers from DRC, Uganda, South Sudan (May 21, 2026)

WHAT HAPPENED:

Starting May 21, 2026, all flights entering the United States with passengers who were recently in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Uganda, or South Sudan must land at one specific U.S. airport. At that airport, officials will perform extra public health checks.

WHO IT AFFECTS:

Any person (except airplane crew) who was in the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan at any time during the 21 days before their U.S. entry or attempted entry. Crew members and flights that carry only cargo (no passengers) are not affected by this restriction.

WHAT TO DO NOW:

- If you have been in one of these countries in the last 21 days and plan to travel to the U.S., contact your airline immediately.

- Ask which U.S. airport your flight will use. It must be the airport designated for these health measures.

- Be ready for health screening when you arrive.

- No other U.S. airports are allowed to receive your direct flight under this rule.
